Interns should strive to make an impact within the industry and as such research professional associations germane to the hospitality industry.  Interns will be required to attend events in their hometown in an attempt to make SOJ, Inc.’s presence felt at small and large gatherings. Through time, interns should establish a name for themselves and begin building personal relationships with the key "players" in the industry. Even after completing the internship program, the foundation of industry contacts will be laid you begin to build your professional career. The hands-on, hard work will prove to be a valuable "real life" learning experience that can be utilized later in life. Some of the duties and functions interns will perform include:

 

• Promoting clients activities (meetings, events, fundraisers, trades shows, etc.)
• Establishing relationships with hotel suppliers for the purpose of increasing our database of site selection facilities.
• Working with off the shelf and proprietary software programs to learn the basics of room set design and function space.
• Developing marketing campaigns to promote SOJ, Inc, services.
