  1. Do students get paid for being in the intern program? No, the Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s, Inc. Intern program is a non-paid program. However, if your school or university offers course credit for the program, you may receive credit for being in the program. 

 

  1. Will the intern’s duties vary? Yes, the duties will vary depending on the event or meeting we are producing. Some duties will include development of marketing materials, conducting site selection, arranging for VIP’s, prospect research, administrative duties, creating client reports, and developing sales presentations to name a few. The good thing is that you will get a well-rounded experience working with SOJ. (top)

 

  1. Can siblings both be in the intern program at the same time? Yes, siblings can both be in the intern program at the same time, as long as both complete all of the requirements needed to gain admission. (top)

 

  1. How will interns be able to share their ideas with the staff at Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s?  There will be several ways that an intern can communicate with the staff at Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s. Through regular staff meetings and intense involvement in client projects, interns will have every opportunity to share ideas with staff. You will be part of a team of professionals and your input and involvement will be critical to the success of the team effort. ( top)

 

  1. Can the interns approach Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s, Inc. clients at various events or meetings and hand them material? No, whenever an intern is at a client with a Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s, Inc. staff person, they should not approach them and hand them any material or solicit anything from the client. ( top)

 

  1. How do I join the program? You may apply for the internship program by completing an application and submitting two references and/or letters of recommendation.   1. To whom do I report?  All interns report to the Internship Coordinator at the Smith, Ozman & Joseph’s, Inc. (top)
